Somewhere in August 1986, there was a first rehearsal… Let's see if it could become something. Meanwhile, we're 38 years (!) further and can already dream of our 40th anniversary in 2026.

This time, we can't start the festivities early enough. Where we as a group once started as a quartet and slowly expanded into a six-piece band, we now want to expand even further into Hideaway XXL!

Extra brass instruments are coming! We're asking the guys from Kindahorny, who were also on 'Unable to Label' from 1996, to join us again. Yves Fernandez on trumpet and Dominiek Dedecker on trombone will, together with old faithful Geeraard De Grootte on saxophone, take care of the brass section. The pioneers of the group; Johan Guidée on drums, Jean Marie Herman on lead guitar, and Ralph Bonte on vocals and guitar, are already working on reworked songs.

Eric Vandekerckhove, who has been playing bass since 1992, is, of course, indispensable. Patrick Cuyvers will again take care of the organ and keyboard parts.

Hideaway XXL was christened on September 14, 2024, at the super charming More Blues in Zottegem. The rave reviews were not lying. Hideaway XXL is an XXL party!
